Shende House

As they say – interiors are the natural projection of the soul. This spacious 3BHK is a standout example of how a house reflects the personalities of the individuals who call it their home.

In this contemporary family home, we see how thoughtful and appropriate use of light and colour elevates design. Here, they have changed the space and given it a special character that remains in the memory of visitors long after they have left.

Our goal with this design was to create a bright, airy, inviting space where we could use colour and style to create a beautiful home.

Let’s go inside and take a peek at this lovely home.

First Impressions: A Welcoming Embrace of Light

When it comes to a house, first impressions mean everything, and this one definitely captivates you from the moment you step inside.

The living room is a captivating sight and makes you pause momentarily as you try to take in the beautiful medley of light and colours.

The soft cream and gleaming ivory walls relax the eyes, and the intense green upholstery offers an excellent contrast.

The tray ceiling lit by subtle LED lighting adds to the ambience. The entertainment wall is stunning, with the subtly lit niches displaying all the curated objects and memorabilia.

The special feature of this space is the effortless way in which the indoor and outdoor come together via the sliding glass doors. The balcony is like a natural room extension filled with potted plants and tropical greens.

The overall effect is both sophisticated and welcoming. It would not be a stretch to say that any visitor is mesmerized by the lighting and colours.

This home’s dining area is right adjacent to the living room and the puja area is thoughtfully integrated between these spaces, serving as a serene focal point within the home.

Enclosed within a beautifully designed partition unit, the puja space features a dedicated shelf with soft, warm lighting that highlights the spiritual area. The cabinetry combines both open and closed storage, allowing for the display of sacred items as well as the discreet storage of puja essentials.

The dining area is cute and compact, with an oval dining table set against wooden chairs with intricate patterns at the back..

The pendant light with a natural woven shade casts a warm, intimate glow.

What else do you need to transform your everyday meals into memorable occasions?

The clever integration of storage and display is noticeable in the beautifully crafted partition which is filled with a curated collection of spiritual artefacts and decorative pieces. The soft yellow LED lighting in these niches is stunning to say the least.

This kitchen showcases a perfect example of the kitchen work triangle concept in action. The U-shaped layout creates an ideal triangular workflow between the three key work zones:the refrigerator, the sink and the cooking area.

This triangular arrangement saves space and minimizes unnecessary movement while cooking, as each essential zone is positioned at an optimal distance from the others.

Sunlight yellow accents dotting the immaculate white cabinets brightens and cheers the kitchen. The lighting under the cabinet helps in additional illumination of the counter area.

See the attention to detail; the under-cabinet lighting that removes shadows on prep surfaces, the thoughtful placement of outlets, and the mix of open and closed storage.

Just the kind of atmosphere you need to whip up your tasty delicacies.

The main bedroom proper is minimal in nature, and the white palette gives this room a sense of calm. The tray ceiling, illuminated by soft LED strips, really works well for the size of the room. Champagne-colored drapes frame the window, their warm tone perfectly complementing the room’s peaceful ambiance.

You will notice the sleek built-in desk that hosts a digital piano keyboard and the small shelf with soft lighting on the display niches. A luxurious deep teal velvet chair adds a touch of sophisticated comfort to the workspace.

The study area extends into a dedicated home office nook, where a floating desk and ergonomic chair create a professional workspace. The adjustable black task lamps ensure proper illumination for any time of day.

Here we have a children’s bedroom that combines playful elements with practical organization. The room has a neat, generally white color scheme with gentle pink and mint green pastel touches.

The most amazing element of this room is definitely a rainbow mural arching above floating bookcases. The bed faces a window so that as the sun rises, natural light floods the room. There are lovely soft pink picket fence-style accents in the headboard area.

The children’s room is generally lively and fun, meant to promote imagination and wonder.

And finally we have the guest room that demonstrates how clever design can make a room versatile and functional. This area is a useful home office as well as a nice guest room.

During the day, the daybed/sofa bed provides a pleasant seating space; and can be converted into a welcoming bed for overnight guests. With its big desk, cozy chair, and lots of storage, the dedicated workstation offers a good setting for study or business.

While the natural light coming in through the window makes things bright, the soft pink walls produce a warm and inviting environment.

Thus, this is the place for you whether your preferred study or break in a quiet area of the house.

This house was a rewarding design experience overall since we could incorporate the best of aesthetics without sacrificing the practicality. This house stands out because of the way natural and artificial lighting interact, the deliberate use of color, and the attention to pragmatic details—a specific type of elegance.

This house is really unique since it keeps a consistent design language throughout and meets every demand of every family member.
