DreamLet Dental

Dreamlet is a pediatric clinic in Whitefield offering a range of specialized services for children. Since children are apprehensive of dental procedures it was important that this be a child-friendly space that promotes healing and comfort for young patients and their families.

The founder is passionate about her field and her vision was to create a space where kids could enjoy their dental visits, in contrast with traditional clinics which are seen as torture chambers by kids. So she approached us with a clear brief – to create distinct Disney-themed zones throughout each treatment row.

Following her brief to the tee we designed a dental clinic spanning 5,000 square feet which showcases the Disney theme in every space – each crafted in a way that calms the child and drives away all anxiety.

Even within the chosen themes we took extra effort to showcase the elements that speak directly to the children’s imagination and get them so engrossed that the professional dental care happens almost seamlessly.

We recognized that the  reception serves the most important function to create the crucial first impression for the child, which in turn will set the tone for a child’s entire dental experience.

The reception desk is designed in a playful, rounded shape with a tooth-themed logo, and we also added colorful abacus-like rings that children are immediately drawn to.

Our main intention with this project was to make sure that each  aspect of the interior was embedded with  whimsical details that inspire a sense of wonder and comfort.

As the main theme of this space was Peter Pan we decorated the walls with lovely murals, such as a vibrant rainbow and whimsical clouds, that bring a fantastical feel to the room.

This design element immediately engages the attention, which in turn helps to distract the child from any anxiety that they may have been feeling.

The overall design ensures that everything is easily accessible for children. There is open shelving displaying toys, books, and decorative items, keeping the space organized while adding visual interest.

The MFT (Motivational and Functional Therapy) rooms adjoining the reception are where the initial interaction of the doctor and child happens and so emphasis was on making this a comforting and engaging experience.

They are designed as wooden huts with pitched roofs  complete with rainbow chairs, mirrors and other decorative elements that stimulate creativity.

For the parents we added a curved, cream-colored sofa where they can wait and watch their kids having a ball.

Large windows open to let sunlight pour in and create a sunny and airy atmosphere. The outlook of greenery outside contributes to the soothing ambiance, and the space feels like it is connected to nature.

Soft, recessed lighting and cloud-shaped pendant lights complement the theme and illuminate the space properly.

Each consultation room has a specific theme: one based on Finding Nemo, another on Snowman, and a third designed like a space shuttle, catering to different children’s interests.

The Space-themed room is sure to make even the feared dental visit an out-of-this-world experience, with star-dotted grey walls, an astronaut model, and planetary decorations.

A custom-designed moon surface adds a playful element which takes the emphasis away from the  anxiety inducing medical equipment.

The young patient is so mesmerised in this world of wonder  that the treatment almost happens unnoticed.

The Finding Nemo treatment room features soft blue walls adorned with beloved characters like Dory and Nemo, complemented by coral reef decorations and bubble designs that  make you feel that you are underwater.

The dental chair and equipment are thoughtfully integrated into the aquatic theme, making it feel less scary.

The Frozen/Snowman room delights with its winter wonderland theme, featuring Olaf and delicate snowflake decorations against light blue walls.

The feeding/nursing room offers a gentle, nurturing space with a charming Dumbo-themed circular artwork and soft, pastel-colored walls. Child-sized rainbow chairs, cloud-themed seating, and wooden toys create a comfortable environment for young patients and their parents.

Common areas maintain the magical atmosphere with white paneled doors featuring arched windows, cloud-shaped room signage, and herringbone pattern flooring throughout.

The entire space is unified by a soft, pastel color palette and natural wood accents, creating a cohesive design that transforms a traditional dental clinic into an enchanting space where children can feel comfortable and let say – even excited about their dental care.

This remarkable transformation was accomplished in just 60 days, demonstrating efficient project management while maintaining high-quality design standards.
